Kelli Ballard has been a small business advocate for the past 10 years. After completing her course of study, while not originally intending to major in accounting, she fell in love with the numbers and never looked back. From the beginning Kelli had an intuitive ability to translate financial statements into meaningful information for her clients.

In 2003 Kelli became a certified Quick Books Pro Advisor and in 2005 she became a Certified Bookkeeper. Today Kelli is working hand in hand with over 25 small business owners all over Southern Illinois.

“Would you get in your car and drive it from Marion to Carbondale blindfolded?” she has asked many a business owner. While no one has yet to answer affirmative, she is quick to point out that without accurate and timely reports from the accounting system they are running their businesses blindfolded.

Steve Battiste joined Business Resource Group in 2008 bringing a wide range of skills from his vast experience in marketing and sales. Steve has quickly jumped in and is now specializing in payroll in addition to fully assisting in bookkeeping as well as helping clients. Steve ran an advertising agency in St. Louis MO for 7 years. Now small Business Owners in Southern Illinois can benefit from his knowledge and experience. He is able to work with clients helping them determine who their target market is and how to best reach the intended audience. While benefiting from full knowledge of their financial situation, and short and long term goals. Steve is a top notch salesman and is helping the small business community in Southern Illinois achieve their objectives, to be profitable.

Steve is also heading up the merchant service division of Business Resource Group. Again advocating for the business owner and helping each hard working business owner keep as much of their money as possible.
